Blow Your Head! Thursday 9/10 featuring special guest BUCKMASTER!
I’m heading down to T-Town again for another edition of Blow Your Head. Here’s what the Blow Your Head guy’s have to say about this week’s party. Take it away guys!
Ok Blow Your Head! fans, our run of Fall shows has been great so far, but now it’s time for our third special guest who you DEFINITELY don’t want to miss: BUCKMASTER! Buckmaster will be travelling all the way from NORTH CAROLINA to rock Blow Your Head! this week along with resident DJs White Noise and Chris Watson, so let’s show him how T-Town gets down! Here’s some info and links for Buckmaster, including free mp3 downloads:

Writeup from top dance music blog Hot Biscuits:
“One of my favorite parties I have ever DJ’d was Charlotte, North Carolina’s Street Value. It was a ton of fun and no bullshit with kids dancing their asses off from the beginning to the end. One of the DJ’s I played with that night was Buckmaster. He’s probably 130 pounds soaking wet, 7 feet tall and drives crazier than a shit house rat. His background as a drummer in metal tinged hardcore band certainly shines through with his really great drum work, not to mention he knows how to make some pretty rad wobble bass.”
Schedule:
10:30-12:00 – Chris Watson
12:00-1:30 – BUCKMASTER!
Video accompaniment by resident VJ Neal Riley, aka themetakid
Details:
19+
Party starts at 9PM
Music starts at 10PM and goes till 1:30AM
$5 cover (unders AND overs)
$5 domestic beer pitchers
$10 LIQUOR PITCHERS!
Lil’ Beta – VEGA (Live Performance) Video 25th of July 2009
Jul 31st
What a great weekend we had last Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama!
It wasn’t betafestival per se’, but it did give the city a taste of what’s to come once we secure a venue who is as forward thinking and ready for new and fresh ideas as the city’s patrons appear to be.
A huge hit at Lil’ Beta and a surprise to many (Yes, they are a band and not dj’s!) was the performance put on by the Austin, TX band VEGA. www.myspace.com/vegavisions
I’ve been championing them on the show for the last month and it was a real treat to see them live. They are a great group of musicians and as I have said before if they come to your city, do yourself a favor and go see them live.
Here’s a lil’ (pun get it) video I shot during their performance. Enjoy and spread the love!
