One of the classic # Junglememories was seeing Roni Size live at the WMC (Winter Music Conference) back in the late 90′s. Hearing this performed live is still fresh in my mind as if it just happened. Now here comes a long a one Mr. Lee Mortimer with his bootleg rendition of Brown Paper Bag that is sure to go down a storm for the bass loving masses out there in clubland.

My crew over at Kahua Music wanted me to make you aware of the new Wagon Cookin’ DJ mix which they submitted to help promote their new and might I say fantastic album titled “Eleven”. It’s chocked full of sexy glamorous beats and bright and shinning jams for the nu disco dance floors. I’ve been jamming this album for the last few weeks in my car and it flat out jams from start to finish. Great production throughout the album. DJ Shiftee will be at the Hulsey Recital Hall Thursday August 18th, 2011 at 6 PM
There will be a lecture titled “The Stylistic Evolution of the Battle DJ” along with a scratch demo from DJ Shiftee in the UAB Visual Arts Gallery.
Here’s a video DJ Shiftee put together giving props to the history of the DMC Battle. It’s a very clever video and if you know the history of the DMC competition videos, you’ll appreciate it even more.
